Diane C. Cook Memorial Health Care Scholarship
JWL Member and Scholarship Chairwoman Dr. Inna Gellerman (r.)
with our 2016 Health Care Scholarship Winner
Katelyn Bogi (m.) and her proud Mom (l.)

Awarded yearly at the League’s Annual Spring Luncheon, the Diane C. Cook Memorial Healthcare Scholarship provides scholarships to individuals dedicated to nursing and its related professions.

Established in 1956 but renamed in 2011 after the untimely death of a dear friend and JWL member Diane Cook, our Health Care Scholarship provides assistance based on financial need and scholastic aptitude.

An active Junior Welfare League member for many years, Diane Cook was the embodiment of care and consideration in the medical profession.  It’s the League’s hope that each recipient of our Health Care Scholarship will strive to emulate Diane’s caring example in the healthcare field of her/his choice.

Our scholarship is open to individuals residing in the Township of Huntington who are currently enrolled in an accredited healthcare program including, but not limited to, nursing, physicians’ assistant, nurse practitioner, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
